What my course attendees are saying

"The pottery course was a fantastic experience! Kim provided great guidance and support throughout the entire process."

“I love this class, its small enough to feel supported, and free enough to create whatever we like with an expert and fabulous teacher. Its my favourite place to be just now, I have not felt this excited about something in ages. Thank you Kim.”

The pottery studio is located in the heart of somerset, beautiful surrondings, excellent facilities, friendly atomosphere, situated in vallis farm

At our pottery courses, we encourage small groups to work on their own projects. Students are able to create beautiful pieces of ceramics, while learning how to use the potter's wheel. We offer classes on both raku and kiln fired pottery, so that students can learn the different techniques used in both.

In raku, we focus on traditional Japanese pottery, where the pieces are heated in a kiln and then quickly taken out and placed in a container of combustible material. This creates a unique effect on the piece and makes it one of a kind. In kiln fired pottery, we use the wheel to create more intricate designs and patterns, which are then fired in the kiln for a more durable finish. No matter which technique is being used, each group can create their own unique pieces that they can be proud of.

Use our templates to allow you create focus on the decorations.

Learn new techniques like raku to create amazing textures.

Small groups up to 8 keep the classes feeling intimate and fun during our time together.
